  This is an awful company. This moving company contracted the moving truck, which I didn't know would be the case. My household goods were being moved from California to New Jersey. I was given a three day timeframe window for pick-up of my things. I never got a single phone call during that three day period until the end of the third day when they called to tell me they weren't going to make the window they set up. My window was Friday-Sunday and they finally showed up on Monday. They originally quoted me $2,500 and before they left the price had gone to over $5,000. For the drop-off, I was called a week prior. Again they were going to drop off sometime between Friday and Sunday. On Monday morning I had to make phone calls because my things hadn't arrived. There were truck problems that no one thought it necessary to let their customers know about. My things were delivered on Wednesday. I was at work so someone else had to accept my things so I couldn't inspect while they were delivering. Every single piece of large furniture was damaged. It looks like they put their foot through the back of my brand new dresser and the top of my china cabinet. And I paid EXTRA for them to package and ship the china cabinet. Every single glass shelf for the china cabinet was shattered. The shoved a curio cabinet so hard into the truck that they scraped paint off down to the wood. And on top of all that, they stole from me! All of my designer handbags were removed from their container. They were gracious enough to leave me the two non-designer handbags though...I called both moving company parties about the theft and I got the same response from both, "We are reaching out to the foreman and we'll get back to you." Almost a year later and it was never addressed by either company. It's infuriating to think I paid them over $5,000 so they could steal from me. And after thousands of dollars in loss and damages, they will settle my claim for less than $200! This company had zero customer service. They got paid and that's all that mattered to them. It's insulting. I would give them no stars if I could.

  I used Map Systems for my move across the country a few weeks ago and they did not disappoint. Initially I spoke with Bryan one of the representatives at the company and he told me about the company. He was honest; he gave me the links for the BBB and Yellow pages. He allowed me to see the reviews they had. I felt very comfortable choosing him for my move because I am a firm believer in integrity. Everything they said they were going to do they followed through with. They called me about 4 days prior to my pickup window and finalized everything on my account and got a very accurate box and furniture count. On the day of pickup the movers came and disassembled my furniture, provided the packing materials I needed and packed my items for me.  The movers were very professional and treated my items with care. Once my items were loaded they gave me a rough estimate of when to expect delivery and informed me that they would keep in touch and give me a call when they are about 1-2 days away from delivering my items. Any time I wanted an update on where the truck was I called Maps and a Customer Care Rep was available to speak with me and get me the update. If a rep wasn’t available they would give me a call back by the end of the day. They delivered my furniture and boxes the other day and they were still in great shape. A couple of the boxes had a few dents but there were no damages to the items inside. I just wanted to leave a review to say thank you to Map Systems for all their help during the move.
